what major

should a person going into medicine get?
I know the obvious ones are bio, chem, etc. but is it ok do go into medicine if you're a math or physics major???
Thanks

anything - just make sure to take all the extra premed classes - 1 yr calc, 1 year physics etc. etc.

Warning about the math major --- it can be really hard. Make sure you are good if med school is really what you want to do. Proof based courses dominate the upper level math curriculum and they are far from easy. If you have experience or understand proofs or just really enjoy math then by all means go ahead, but I warn you its tough. I am a chem/math double, and upper level math is different I'll tell you that much.
