What makes a good resume for ibanking and ibanking internships?

I'm an undergrad at Wharton, so iBanking is pretty popular here. I think it might be a good fit for me (I like the quantitative side of things), but I don't know what ibanking employers (Goldman Sachs, etc.) are looking for. Surprisingly, there's not much guidance. I know you need an internship -- but what are the internship recruiters looking for? What can I do to set myself up to be a good applicant? Please be specific: if EC's are important, does it matter what kind of EC's? Are they looking for a different type of applicant from other finance-related jobs (i.e. hedge funds, PE, etc.)?

Added question: a question I've struggled with is "why do you want to go into investment banking?" or "why finance?" Is it good to say you like the challenge, you like to think deeply about problems, and/or you think it matches your skill set?

You need a lot of help. Its not that hard, but its much more doable when you know the process through personal relationships (although some small pct of people are naturals and instinctively know the answers to your questions above). Two suggestions.

If possible, find someone in the business who’s willing to spend a lot of time with you to get you up to speed

If option 1 is not available, check out Wall Street Prep’s website and try to spend a little bit of time with everyone you can who knows the industry
