What math concepts do you need to know in order to be prepared for any SAT question?

Not many. Almost everything is applying the formulas they give you. You just need Algebra 1 and some Geometry.

basic geometry, factoring, solving equations, slope, and logic

I never took Algebra 1 or Geometry formally, but everything I needed to know for the SAT Math I learned in Algebra 2/Trigonometry.

review your triangles!

You do need Algebra II for SAT, just not for pre-SAT. Take a couple of samples and learn what you don’t know. It is more important to know what you do know well than to know a lot that they won’t ask. Also, if you are inclined to make one or two errors even on what you do know, you just might not get that 800 no matter how smart and well-prepared that you are.

Everything to algebra 2. if you need to learn/review/etc material for math, greubers is the most recommended. Also, if you look in silverturtle’s thread, I think theres a link to a PDF of a brief overview of all the topics covered on the math part of the sat
