What motivates you to work hard in school?

Primarily the desire to know everything.

Money

Want to be world traveller

Live in stylish house

I work hard because I love to learn!!! :)

Mostly things that aren’t taught in my school (Japanese, Korean, etc.)
But I try to find something “fun” in the boring classes.

I found this website that helps motivate students with cash Ultrinsic::Welcome[/url”>http://www.ultrinsic.com/]Ultrinsic::Welcome

To feel like I accomplished something great in my life.

What motivated me to work hard in high school was to get into a college where I wouldn’t have to be surrounded by morons all the time. Now that I’ve done that, my goal is to keep the people at my college from thinking I’M a moron.

ladies, only motivation

Well i don’t work hard.
But what motivates me to complete my homework assignments is the prospect of going to the college of my choice.

If I don’t keep up the current amount of effort I’m putting in, the people below me in rank will chew me up and spit me out.

What motivates me is my dream to go to Dartmouth undergrad.

-I just absolutely love learning…

Most African American Males are uneducated…I don’t want to be a part of that statistic. I wanna be among the students who are representing a culture that is always underrepresented in top tier colleges.

I plan to make a difference in uplifting the African-American community.

I wan’t to make myself, and all of those people who always believed in me proud.

I’m not very motivated so i do far worse than I have the capability to. I’m gonna pay for it later, this i know. I do moderate work, but not actually what I’m really potentially able to do. I guess one thing that works for me is that I think of the people that hurt me and i do better than them so I can say “See, you were the ones that held me back. Well, I guess we see now that I was the only reason you passed.” Spites always a great motivation.

Being in the pursuit of something better.

the fear of failure

my dream to attend Brown as an undergrad  and money :D

Guilt.
I can’t live thinking that I didn’t do my best at something.
Darn my parents for raising me like that!

I love to learn. :)

I felt the same way at the end of my junior year (I’m an upcoming senior). What still keeps me motivated is the idea that if I still do well in school, I can keep many doors open for me. I find it sad when I hear people say things like, “I always wanted to be a doctor, but there’s no way I can pull it off with how bad I’m doing in my classes.”

I want to make sure that my life is as open and free as possible until I truly realize what I want to become. I try not to set “legit” goals for myself. I tell myself "Don’t aim for an A, aim for the best you can possibly do. Try telling yourself, “I’ve gotten so far with the grades I’ve made, why not try maintaining them for just a little longer?”

We all have these kinds of moments, so don’t feel alone.

umm because I’m Asian? Do I still need to elaborate?

MIT and my parents give me some money for good grades.
