If you could pick any university in the world (outside of the US and UK) which one would you choose and why?

NUS, only if I absolutely HAD to

^NUS (or NTU) only if i really had to for me as well

Anything in Sydney, Perth, or Cairns, Australia.

I notice Ireland was not excluded.... Trinity, for sure. :)

McGill or NUS I suppose (hurrah Anglophone countries!). In the event that Scotland secedes from the UK, I'll say St. Andrew's ;)

(NUS = National University of Singapore)

NUS, I guess.

I wouldn't go to one.

ouch!

Ok, UToronto :D

Interesting how only 4 countries have been mentioned so far...nice try with Scotland, but it's part of the UK ;) I suppose it makes sense since Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Ireland all contain some of the best universities outside of the US/UK. I would probably opt for a uni in Australia or Canada too. If I spoke/wrote/read Japanese then Japan would be a place I'd consider. On a side note: what is everyone's nationality?

Jacobs University in Bremen. But only because its teaching language is English.
Or a couple of universities in the netherlands.
But I so do not want to study at a German University

La Sorbonne

Either NUS or the University of Hong Kong

The Anglophone world dominates (or in academic parlance, "pwns") in terms of academia. Just look at how much is published in English...it's become the lingua franca of academia

La Sorbonne!!!
