Windows XP Pro.

On my home computer I have just Windows XP Pro
On one of my notebooks I just Linux
And on the other one I have a dual boot with Linux and Windows XP

I don't remember what version of Linux though.

NoFX: Windows XP Office isn't an operating system...

Windows Vista

Interesting. Of course its beta, but are you and MSDN subscriber, or have you signed up to be a beta tester(doubt it, as mainly software engineers at big firms are)?

I have connections. j/k :)

When's that come out btw?

Late next year. I heard Vista ROCKS!

you can download windows vista online...

but i'm puzzled why you would want to use it considering it's not even finished... and it's basically longhorn.

im using win xp pro

mac osx 10.4 tiger

I have windows XP...it sucks. Don't do it! I promise if my parents weren't so computer illiterate I would have some sweet computer. Bah so sad sad sad sad. Yeah I'm just rambling now...

SAVED

I use windows XP, but I have a friend who swears by Linux. He tries to tell everyone to switch over. (even though Linux is not as user-friendly)

I don't believe there are many programs written for both Windows and Linux - even if it is better, there is no way to use some of my favorite programs (like Finale 2006, a music-composing program). That is why I will not switch over unless there is a major increase in program availability in Linux.

kman1456, no but there are programs that let you run windows environments in linux allowing for finale to run

I'm using Vista as well. You can download the newer build (newer thna Beta 1) which is closer to the original from certain bittorent sites. It is really great. I was seriously contemplating going to mac, but Vista makes Mac OS X look like Windows 95. Hopefully Vista will be more secure. Can't tell if this version is or not. (foder icons are SO COOL n Vista)

at home:
windows xp
freebsd

at work:
windows xp
fedora linux

dylan_35, aren't those bittorrent files illegal?

sagar_indurkhya

Using bittorrent is not illegal.

Downloading software that you have to pay for/whatever -is- illegal.

For instance, downloading a linux distro CD is perfectly legal.

downloading microsoft vista is illegal.

Using bittorrent is illegal IF you have the intent of downloading software that is not rightfully yours.

Bittorrent was originally created to help download linux distros quicker.

Windows 2000

XP is really quite the piece IMO (and not in a good way)
