<p>please... everyone that says windows xp sucks, give a reason, because honestly it's not as bad as everyone is making it sound... i run a dual boot with ubuntu breezy and i find myself on windows much more often...</p>

<li>It looks like candyland</li>
<li>It is far too automated</li>
<li>The integrated CD Burning sucks but is integral to the OS</li>
<li>Did I mention it looks like a fischer price toy unless in classic mode?</li>
<li>The firewall (or should I say half-firewall?) that is integrated sucks</li>
<li>Most all of the integrated software is utter junk</li>
<li>Want to change your motherboard? Well you had better reactivate your copy of XP! New hard drive? Time to reactivate! - Yeah, that sucks too.</li>

<p>Overall Windows 2000 is a faster and cleaner os (yes, I said faster, proven my numerous benchmarks).</p>

<p>It's nice to see someone running linux here...when I get time I'm going to take the time to do a stg1 tarball of gentoo on this here machine.</p>

<p>not to argue, but
1. i agree it is overloaded
2. yea it looks kinda crowded
3. yes it is automated
4. i have no beef with the integrated burning
5. fisher price toys are made to be aesthetically pleasing to all
6. firewall is decent if you don't over do the port forwarding
7. that's why there's disc cleanup and add/remove
8. interesting, i changed my mobo to an asus last year and had no such problem</p>

<p>it's not perfect, but it's certainly better than most everyone here is giving it credit for</p>
