i know a lot of people on here have BC as one of their top choices or even as their top choice, but i was wondering what other schools some of the class of 2014 are considering. it would be cool to see everybody’s top three choices, or something of the sort. ill go first:

Boston College (accepted)

Holy Cross

Villanova

Dear eemmzz10 : From the 2008-2009 Boston College Fact Book, the Class of 2012 top twelve cross application schools included (in no particular order) : Georgetown, Cornell, Brown, Harvard, Boston University, Princeton, Penn, Notre Dame, NYU, Yale, Villanova, and Dartmouth. Note that this data is harvested only from those students who were admitted to Boston College, not those students who applied and did not receive admission.

From the 2007-2008 Boston College Fact Book, the Class of 2010 had Tufts as a top twelve school as opposed to Villanova.

From the 2005-2006 Boston College Fact Book the Class of 2008 includes both Tufts and Duke as opposed to Villanova and Princeton in the Class of 2012 listing.

Note that the survey is only disclosed every other year.

The result of this material is that you have a pretty consistent set of ten schools over the last five years which attract the most cross-applications from accepted Boston College students.

CONGRATS eemmzz10-- Villanova’s admissions committee needs work… denies a large pool early, only to have them move on to other similar colleges…denies well qualified students…admits some less than “qualified”… BC? Holy Cross? either one you choose… priceless! Good Luck at BC or HC!!!

I’ve pretty much had my mind made up on BC even before nova decisions came out because I live in MA and my top choices were between BC and HC. But it’s just weird getting accepted EA to BC but deferred and than rejected by nova. Not even wait listed haha. Oh well
