What percentage of students on this website do you think have cheated before?

-On a minor quiz/test?
-On a major exam?
-Fraud on the application?

And the point of this is…?

How the hell would anyone know.

But my guess is 69.69%.

^

65%, 30%, 5%.
I think these are completely off, though, because I feel like it might be more common for people to cheat on major tests compared to ones that don’t matter.

no idea, but i think it would be easier to cheat on a minor test

100 percent have probally cheated. I mean who doesn’t ask their friends was the test hard? Can I see your homwork/studyguide for the AP:Chem test tuesday? It’s something the majority off all academic perfectionist do, so my guess is practically everyone has made a minor cheating offense.

@TheJHUenthusiast‌ I’ve never done that because I don’t have any friends to ask but I have looked up answers to an online practice test so I guess I have cheated.

Well think about… we’re all on CollegeConfidential worrying our butts off about our futures, not wanting to fail… We’re all bound to cheat at some point. We just don’t want to risk failure.

wait, fraud on an application? why would you need to know this?

So what do you guys cheat on? I’ve never cheated on a test but according to you guys people who worry about their futures usually do…

@dsi411 Nothing major… like writing state capitals on my desk in 5th grade, if that gives you a general idea hahah

lol I feel like the vast majority of honors and AP students have cheated to an extent. There probably is a few people who haven’t but I know the majority have probably cheated at least once before, whether it be on a worksheet or major test. I for one have cheated before, nothing major, but I’ve still done it.

100%.

branching off of that, 69.72%
jk though

i agree with 70-100%, depending on whether assignments count, to what degree (for both assignments + test), etc.

All of these words are very vague. What do you mean by fraud? I know someone who made up his common app essay situation. Everything that he revealed about himself was real though, he just needed a situation to set up what he wanted to say. Would you consider this fraud? What do you mean by minor/major? Would you consider a unit test a major exam? Cheating is relative per school, which is why this is hard for people to answer. At some schools it’s considered cheating to recommend a quote to your friend for an essay and at other schools this is encouraged. Sometimes it’s considered cheating to ask “what was the hardest concept on the test” whereas in other schools this would be acceptable as long as nobody reveals any specific questions.

Nearly 100%
