What public university would you choose?

^i guess its your opinion and your entitled to it but have you actually visited Cal because it really isn't that hippie........ and Austin is very liberal they even have a slogan "Keep Austin Weird". UCLA and UCSB are pretty liberal also....... anyway I am going to vote for Cal (biased i go there) but I visited the campus and the weather, scenery, bay views, and top of the line academics are hard to beat in my mind...... also while Berkeley the city has some rougher areas the area around the campus is pretty nice and the campus in my opinion is one of the nicest I've seen.

The City of Berzerkeley is Hippieville. The University of California is less so.

It's well-known that Berkeley has long lost its hippiness. It's very liberal, but even the students note that it's not really "hippy" (though you'll find your hippies, as at any top college).

UVa is my favorite.

UCLA!

I wonder why?

Its not Berkeley, it the Peoples Republic of Berkeley. Those of us from the Bay Area or Berkeley should know that.

Indiana University....Because it's BALLIN' It has an amazing campus, great college town, amazing outdoor activities such as kayaking and snowboarding, Big 10 sports school, great basketball + soccer, and a rising football team, great school spirit, made princeton review's list for happiest students, top 10 b-school, and top 10 program in mass communications, and a great sports management program. And it doesn't hurt to be the #4 party school (according to playboy).

Pretty much the bombest place in the world.

Go HOOSIERS!!

Snowboarding? In Indiana?

Take THAT Aspen!!!!

You know it... Paoli Peaks!

UNC... because I go there and it's the most amazing school ever :)

UNC
Berkley

Heck; if I were in one of these states instead of AR; I wouldn't be applying anywhere else.

1.UCLA
2. UC Berkeley
3. UCSD
4. UCSC

William & Mary- The prestige of Georgetown, the quality of Davidson or Amherst, the History of Harvard, all at the price of Va Tech.

Haha, well-said ^

University of Texas or UF for the networking.
