So I’m a high school junior right now looking to apply to pretty high ranking schools. I am have a little bit of trouble analyzing if my grades are in an upward or downward trend.
I’m just going to post my grades here for reference:
Freshman year grades(for the entire year):
Choir: 99
French I: 98
Gym/Health: 98/99
Honors biology: 93
Honors English I: 95
Honors Geometry: 94
Honors World History: 95
Sophomore year:
Choir: 99
Gym/health: 100/99
French II (online. was difficult as hell): 94
Honors Chemistry: 99
Honors English II: 98
Honors US History I: 95
Honors Algebra II: 98
Junior year:
First marking period:
AP Biology: 96
AP English III: 94
AP Statistics: 95
APUSH: 96
Honors French III: 98
Gym: 99
Second marking period (so far. hasn’t finished yet):
AP Biology: 91 (probably will go up a teensy bit)
AP English III: 93
AP Statistics: 94 (probably will go down lol)
APUSH: 94
Honors French III: 97
Health III: 84 (but WILL go up to a 98-99 cause I have a 0 for a quiz grade)
So basically my school doesn’t really let freshmen or sophomores take AP classes. Of course the honors classes were hard, but they are a lot easier than the AP classes I’m taking now. As you can see, I did pretty decent during my freshman year but I did a lot better my sophomore year, a little bit due to grade inflation but I also just tried a lot harder. Now though, I’m trying equally hard if not harder this year, but the classes are more difficult. I definitely will end up with 1 or 2 Bs by the end of the year, which I have never gotten in high school. Will colleges see my grades from sophomore to junior year as a downward trend because I’m not getting as high grades in my AP classes that I got in my honors classes?
Thanks!
