Hands down and a STEM degree. You will separate yourself from the pack and have the most options upon graduation. I was one of roughly a dozen STEM majors in my law school class of 200+. Graduation options will include product liability tort law, construction law/commercial litigation, and patent law. Although, I would encourage those seeking a STEM undergrad degree to supplement their studies by reading and writing as much as possible as your law classmates will have more exposure to developing those skills while your in the labs.

The best undergraduate major is one where you can earn As. If your goal is law school, then you need As in all of your classes to get into a T15 school. The best way to guarantee that you will work in a job that uses your law degree, you need to be in a T15 school. If it’s a STEM major, that’s terrific. But arts are just fine too–they can lead to intellectual property law for example.
