<p>No...he loves it, and has several friends who are also "re-freshes". One thing he has noticed...age means nothing at bs.
He had a successful 9th grade year at his public hs but the prep school did request that he start again in 9th....they do like the "four year senior". Also, he is an athlete, so I think that had something to do with it...it was actually the soccer coach who asked him to do that. But, it is a lot more rigorous than our public hs, even though my son was in honor's classes, so I am glad he is doing it again. He is not repeating every class, really just the humanities, because they really want all the freshman to start with the ninth-grade humanities program. He sort of repeated his language (did regular Spanish II at public hs and honors Spanish II here (A's in both and probably could have been okay in Honors Spanish III, but the bs felt he should do the II based on his testing results).</p>

The swim coach was the one who recommended I repeated and my parents liked the idea of letting me be a kid for another year :)</p>
<p>Now I'm probably applying to Andover, SPS, Choate, MX, Taft, and MAYBE one or two of these: Milton, St. Mark's, Hotchkiss or Exeter.</p>
