<p>You definitely have a chance at U of Mich with your GPA and 34 ACT!</p>
<p>As for the Ivies, I’d say Cornell is the only one you have a realistic shot at. It’s definitely the most “number-based” of the Ivies, despite rejecting many well qualified applicants each year. The others are crapshoots and will be very difficult for you without some kind of hook (major award, URM, etc). </p>
<p>I’m not sure about U of M specifically, but I know some school’s give greater advantage to in-state applicants, such as UNC, Duke, and UVA.</p>
<p>Ivies will probably be high-reach since you don’t have any strong leadership positions to brag about, but it’s ultimately your decision whether it’s worth your time and money to apply. I don’t have much experience with U of M so I won’t pretend to give you advice in that area, but you can always consider other out-of-state colleges such as NYU and USC. And, of course, it’s good to have a few safeties.</p>
