I am applying for andover, milton, st. pauls, deerfield, and tabor.

BUT, I saw that the average SSAT score at tabor is the 65th percentile.... mine is in the high 90s.

I don't think I'll be accepted to the more prestigous schools (andover, milton, etc), but it seems like my SSAT score is way above what is normal at tabor.
Should I still apply there?

Absolutely, if it seemed like a place you’d like to go. I’m sure Tabor has AP or other advanced classes that would challenge you (though that would be something to look for). There are advantages to being a big fish . And the other schools you are applying to are all high test–there are no guarantees that you’ll be accepted at any of them. It’s smart to consider a school that you like but that you are more than qualified to attend.

lots of kids w/ you % go there. Find the school that fits you not your test score.

The son of an acquaintance attends Tabor. He is highly gifted and a competitive athlete, and he loves it there. I wouldn’t cross it off the list JUST based on the average SSAT score.

Tabor has an excellent reputation. You can’t go wrong there. Many well qualified kids are turned down. If you get in and love it…go!
