What score would this essay get?

hey guys this is an essay and its prompt i just wrote what score this essay would get from(0- 6) and from(1-12)

Prompt:
Think carefully about the issue presented in the following excerpt and the assignment below.
Many colleges now offer courses in which students study television programs, comic books, magazines, advertising, and other aspects of popular culture. Critics complain that schools should not replace serious literature and history courses with such fluff. They claim that courses in popular culture present material that is trivial and inconsequential. But the study of popular culture can be just as important, demanding, and instructive as the study of traditional subjects.
Assignment:
Can the study of popular culture be as valuable as the study of traditional literary and historical subjects? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

My essay:

Nowadays people spent half their time watching television including television programs, movies and advertisements but have you ever asked if they take any benefits from it?.the study of popular culture is the most attracting way of learning of the new generation it is more entertaining, reaches everyone from the kids until the adults ,it is up to date and more persuasive than anything.

People watch a lot of movies a year, movies teaches people a lot of things. A movie named "the help" it is a movie about segregation in America between the whites and the African American it shows to us how the white people hated the negro and it tell us that no one should be treated like that because of his black skin . also another movie "my name is khan" it is also talking about how the American society hated the Muslims and teaches us that there is only two kinds of people : people who do good deeds and people who do bad deeds .

A broadcaster called bassem youssef who is in the television program "al barnameg" it’s a sarcastic program who used to make fun of every thing that happen during the week in the country but they still wanted his program to stop because he didn’t have fear from anyone and was telling the truth this program teaches us a lot about that you must talk from your heart, never have fear to tell the wrong thing and never be afraid of any person.

"Man of honor" is a movie which talked about how a black man could be treated between white people and if how he struggled to be in the navy . a black man should not be treated like this because of his color. Twilight a series of movies that talked about how a Dracula could love a human and protect her it was from the best movies until now.

You know what your problem is, it's that you haven't seen enough movies - all of life's riddles are answered in the movies. "Steve Martin " The study of popular culture is in important and it reaches everyone, there isn’t no entertaining way of learning more than this way also it is persuasive

thanks very much

Before spending time on this, I have to ask:

When do you intend to take the SAT?

The next year. Is it too bad ?

It depends on your goals. If you need a top score on the SAT, then your writing needs a lot of work. This will also affect your scores on other sections of the test.

Luckily you aren’t taking the test this month.

Get a basic grammar book and start reading.

You can improve, but it will take time and effort.

So what grade you grade this essay ?

@JKJEREMY

Either a five or a six out of twelve.

If this is exactly what you’re going to write in your essay, I’ll give you a 4-5 out of 12.
You have stated your thesis, which is good, and it seems that your examples are somewhat adequate.
However, there are too many grammatical as well as run-on errors. Like seriously, I have no idea what you write about in your third paragraph. Hone your writing skills and you’ll get a good score.

Thank you all guys

Relax buddy. You are taking the SAT next year so you have more than enough time to improve. It’s really good to see you getting started so early as well :)

If I may suggest, develop a habit for reading. It will greatly accelerate your learning process. All the best :)

Yeah, this is unclear. I’d have to say bottom half, in the neighborhood of at most a 6 out of 12. There are a lot of run-ons and the tone is too casual for a formal essay (avoid using “you” to address the reader). You do have a thesis and some specifics, but your argument is hard to follow–you also need transitions between paragraphs, instead of just launching into the next example. How is it related to the previous one? Take a look at the sample essays in the blue book to get an idea of appropriate tone. And work with someone on grammar and structure. Good luck!

Thank you all for your suggestion i will work on it
