to you, what stands out about Penn?

i always loved philly…so location imo

The fact that it’s awesome and stuff like that.

Philadelphia does seem like a great city.

lol, you’re trying to brainstorm for the essay question, aren’t you.

Sorry mate, you should research the school yourself. Better yet, visit.

no, no specific essay focuses on this question.
im just trying to decide whether i should apply ED to brown or penn >.<
i just cant decide!! :(

Do Penn ED imo.

Every other school’s mascot is something combative…Penn’s is a pacifist

^yes! :D

engineerjw— hmmm Brown must be your first choice or something :p

You got me there. Just having a little fun. Brown is amazing as well.

Penn CAS ED ftw!

the One University policy that allows undergrads to take classes at Penn’s 12 schools and opens up practically the entire university up to you.

also the food trucks :)

■■■■, i never knew that?

OP, you need to do your own research.

ooh hush up
I am. I just got done reading all about Brown and what I really found appealing was the design your own major sort of thing. I visited Penn and while I was just interested in attending the CAS, the tour guide didnt state that it was possible to take classes in any UPenn school.

Penn is urban, with a huge student body. Wharton is a distinguished niche undergraduate program, otherwise Penn is a pretty generic solid school. Philadelphia is up and coming, but it ain’t New York or Chicago, and has more safety issues.

God I hate Penn marketing.

Penn is way better than Brown. Except in marketing itself, that is.

Both will essentially let you take what you want, but Penn has a much bigger pool to explore. You want to take Law school classes at Penn? Go for it. You want to take law school classes at Brown? They don’t even have a law school. Or business school. Or communications school…etc

thanks ilovebagels
