What shoes to wear to interview?

What type of footwear should I wear to my interview today?

Depends on where. I’ve worn jack purcells to my three interviews; on campus at Yale, at my interviewer’s house, and at a Starbucks. I wore chinos, a dress shirt, and a sweater to go with it.

I’d say go with dress shoes if you only have athletic sneakers and don’t really have the sorta more classy, casual sneakers like jacks, stan smiths, etc.

Depends on the environment…and your gender…and what else you’re wearing…and all the other information you failed to provide.

Assuming you’re a male, if you’re wearing some kind of button-down shirt and dress slacks, you should probably just wear standard dress shoes. If you’re anything more casual on the spectrum, a pair of boat shoes works fine. I’d probably avoid sneakers unless you’re otherwise showing up in a t-shirt and jeans.

it’s at his house

i really don’t feel like wearing dress shoes though which is the thing

wow, really?
