What Should do to get a score above 33?

I have spent months studying for the ACT, and I have taken a lot of practices. But I am still not getting scores above 33. I took the PLAN sophomore year, and I got a 23 out of 32. I know it’s terrible. I just took the ACT on Feb 7. I think I did ok. But I’m sure I won’t get a score above 33. I’ll probably get a score in the 29-31 range. Do you know what I should do to get a higher score? The only section that I do well on is Math. Should I read the questions before the passage in Reading and Science?

@parsi7‌ I am in the same predicament as you. I would like to get above a 32 but this time I think i might have gotten a 28 (which would not be all that bad as I am only a sophomore). On the science what I found that helps is to read the questions first. The majority of help I have had in speeding up and polishing up my science section is from the Act practice tests. This past act was different in the science section so make sure you can finish with about five minutes to spare on practice tests so you will surely finish on time when it counts. On the science passages I find it is helpful to read the passage quickly then go to the questions and if needed refer back to the passage. On reading what I do is read through the passage, then go through the questions referring back to the passage if needed, and on questions with line numbers. My advice is what works for me, but especially on the reading (as it is my weaker subject) take my advice lightly and make sure to try it in the practice tests to see if it works for your specific brain. That last part is kind of general advice you should use for all testing suggestions. It would not be wise to take practice tests one way, then drastically change your testing technique on the actual test as bad consequences may occur.
