What should I be doing to prepare as a sophomore?

Hello College Confidential,

This past month I took a kaplan combo test at my local library without any preparation; I recently got my scores back.

ACT:
English - 27
Math - 23
Reading - 33
Science - 35
Composite - 30

SAT:
Math - 660
Reading - 670
Writing - 620
Composite - 1950

Going by the percentiles, it seems I have scored higher on the ACT. Since I score higher on the ACT, what should I be doing to test prep for the ACT at sophomore year? Also, is it true that the ACT is changing like the SAT?

I am also as of right now taking a geometry course, and I will take a trig course next year. Those were my lowest sections on my math, so I'm not too concerned about those just yet because I have not taken the courses.

Also, I would like to have a 33-34 by late junior year; does this seem possible? Thank you

A 30 as a sophomore is pretty good IMO. Pursue ACT and dedicate some time every day for practicing. There will be some questions, especially in math, that you cannot solve just yet. But hang in there and you will get 34 with no problem come senior year.

Good luck.
