Part of being in an arts school is that you get to thoroughly explore your 'hook,' which is nice for both arts/academic schools. Based on my stats, what would be some good academic schools to think about? Could I consider Ivy League or 'low' Ivy League Schools (if I raised my SAT score of course)? What would I need to do if I wanted a chance for the Ivys? What's your opinion?

I think you're going to need to get the SAT up to 2150+ to have a real shot at Columbia. Your grades look fine, but do you have a GPA or class rank? It is hard to say which schools are reaches/matches/safeties without knowing GPA, class rank, or real SAT scores.

Nope, no GPA or class rank because we have too many transfer students.

anyone else?

On stats alone ....
If you look at just your math and cr scores, you currently have 1090. If you increase by 100 points in each of these sections (certainly possible), that's a 1290, well into the lowest quartile of acceptees. Columbia would be a significant reach.

It is very hard to predict how your talents will be factored in at Columbia. Since its your dream, certainly apply, just make sure you have academic matches and likely's in the mix.

I can't find the Eastman admissions statistics, but you will probably want a couple of alternatives to conservatory option, and CIM might pleasantly surprise you. My nephew turned down a pretty large scholarship at Eastman a couple of years ago to attend CIM. He was not impressed with the state of the facilities at Eastman - particularly the piano practice rooms. He is very pleased with CIM at this point.

That was very helpful, thank you very much. What other music schools did your nephew look into? I'm very curious about the prestige and accomodations of other schools.

Why would you want to go to Columbia? I haven't heard of a prestigious music program there or anything? Just wondering.

And yeah, it's a super reach.

They do have the Columbia-Julliard Program..look into it - it's very selective but really interesting

hayhay,
he considered the London Conservatory (I think that's right), but did not apply due to financial considerations. He did not apply to Julliard because they do not commit to giving you a diploma if they decide they don't like your two or three years in. He only applied to CIM and Eastman (yep, a little crazy), having decided that that he would commit to the conservatory rather than the academic route.

I am sorry that I don't have a better feel for musical programs at academic institutions. As far as finding academic matches, you want to look for schools where your SAT falls within the 25%-75% - and I think that can assume that you can raise your score. You might want to look at Hampshire College in MA - that looks like a pretty interesting please.
