I am currently a sophomore and I don't really have any extra curricular things for my college apps. I do one activity outside of school that meets 6 days a week about 30hrs a week so I don't really have time for anything else. What are good programs to do over the summer that look good on applications? I am interested in going into medicine if that matters at all. Should I look into getting a job over the summer, volunteering, starting my own program, etc? What looks the best to colleges?

If you have time, consider taking a summer course at a college you want to attend in the future. It’ll be incredibly helpful especially if you get a good grade out of it.

Look at the summer programs forum here on CC. There are more than you can shake a stick at. Do something that is of interest, not something that will impress adcoms.
