What Should I Do With These Scores?

In May of this year I decided that since I was taking the AP USH and AP Chem exam that I would take the SAT subject tests for the two of them that week.

I recently got all of those scores back: 3 on AP Chem, 4 on APUSH, 650 on SAT Chem, and 680 on SAT USH. Should I send these SAT scores in if I think I have a chance at getting into upper UC schools and possibly some high tier privates?

Retaking both of these tests would be challenging because I haven’t worked with the material for a while now, so I’m not even sure I could score higher in those subjects. I only studied for the AP tests and was hoping they would be similar but I now know that the subjects focus on more fact memorization which I had not done.

If I was to try to get better scores I would likely go for other subjects, maybe Math 2 and something else that would help if I plan to major in biology. So far I have taken 2 years of Chemistry and 1 year of entry level biology, making those subject tests seem impossible.

What should I do???

My Academic Record: 4.6 gpa (UC-4.4) unweighted 4, ACT 33

What is your intended major? Which UC’s are you targeting? Depending upon major and UC, there are recommended SAT 2 subject tests which you should consider taking to be a competitive applicant.

I plan to major in either biology or chemistry and I’m going to try for the top tier UC’s but also apply to the others.

Take the Math 2 and Biology. If you get in the 700+ range, submit those 2.
