What should I do?

I am nearing completion of my A.A. at the local community college and am so torn over what to do.

I would love to transfer to FIU in the spring and dual major in International Relations and Portuguese or Spanish. But it seems like this would be a waste of my parents money as they are paying for my college. They expressed some apprehension about this but will support me in whatever I choose to do.

Right now I am stuck thinking about my future. I have no idea what I want to do long term other than that I want to go abroad. I plan to pursue TEFL and I realize all I need is a bachelor's for this. But long term I want something that would return the investment my parents paid for.

Because of this I am stuck between Accounting or Finance at UCF because of the Job prospects and pay, and International Relations/Languages (my interests) at FIU.

I've also thought about taking a year off after my A.A. and moving to New Mexico to establish residency and figure out what exactly I want. So any information on that process is also appreciated.

I'm just looking for input or stories anyone can add on the subject.

Can you put together an international business major at either school, that would let you pursue your interests in foreign languages while also preparing for the business world? Many of the finance / accounting companies have overseas offices where your language expertise might be a plus.

Accounting is easy. So, double major up with international relations and take some classes in Spanish or whatever. I don’t think you necessarily need a degree in Spanish.
