What should I do ?

<p>If I'm interested in computer science and making apps, what can I do to get that extra "edge" for colleges?</p>

<p>I'm currently learning how to code an app, so hopefully I can make an app soon (designed to help one of my school clubs), but what else can I do to show my interest in computers and app-making?</p>

<p>ANY IDEAS? ADVICE? :)</p>

<p>ps. Do elite colleges tend to pick only one student from the average high school? There's another kid in my class who has her eyes on the same college as me, and she's a lot more competitive for that school (huge sport champion).. :( I'm even more motivated to work harder now hahah</p>

<p>No. They can pick multiple students from a high school. They just want kids from different subject areas. If you take a lot of programming/computer science classes then you should be fine. Do a LOT of computer science things. Clubs and classes alike. Try to do AP Computer Science as well.</p>
