What should I do?

So the end of my 2nd semester is almost here and I did equally as bad (if not worse) than my first semester. I’ve had a real struggle with studying, and being interested in what I’m studying. Along with that I haven’t found many friends on campus, and have felt isolated.

My last semester gpa was a 1.9, and I’m thinking this semester will be a 1.5-2.0 after finals. I am currently pursuing a computer science and computer engineering degree, but have decided to leave the engineering school.

But I’m not sure what to do after that. I can’t plausibly see me just going into the workforce, as I don’t believe I would be happy. I’m going to list some of the things I’ve thought about doing below.

  1. Transfer to local community college. This seems more than likely like the best option, however I’m just afraid of getting isolated and not being motivated.
  2. Transfer to a California community college. This would be a big move, but would help me get a chance at going to a UC school like I’ve always wanted to. I do have my step dad’s family in Pasadena and they said I can rent a room from them for cheap.
  3. Stay at the current school I’m at, but transfer into an easier program. The reason I’ve this isn’t my favorite choice is because I think I probabaly should make sure I can actually do college before continuing paying a lot of money for tuition.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome! Thank you everyone in advance!!

Likely you wouldn’t be able to afford a UC school as an OOS student. Try the local CC.

Focus on your general classes instead. You may need to see a doctor and possibly look at ADHD as well.
