I was expelled from a local band camp during the summer after my freshman year (Disrupting behavior, you could say). I'm not listing that I was ever involved with the program, and I haven't had any other disciplinary problems. I don't think it went on my permanent record, but then again, I don't know what's put on my record. Should I put this incident down on my application and explain it? Or, because of how small it is and since I won't be mentioning it, should I bother?

I really don't think you would need to mention it. But this is an area where you might be better served by someone who has more experience with the college admissions process...

i don't think it is a major thing meaning something that is bad enough for Harvard to rescind your application if you are accepted. It is not a criminal offense after all but it is disciplinary action which I don't remember if it is asked on the application. However, to be on the safe side, you should have discussed this event with your counselor to see if you should mention it on your application since Harvard is a school with a high ethical and moral standard.
