What should I expect from Subject SAT Math Level 2?

Hi, I’m kinda new here. I have the Math level 2 subject SAT coming up really soon, as in 2 days. I just started studying this week (which I really regret). I have just tried out one of the Barron’s model tests, and I just barely scraped by with a 780. Are the actual tests going to be this hard? I’m aiming for an 800, but now it seems kinda iffy. I just ordered the official sat practice booklet and I’ll try it out tomorrrow, but I really have no idea what to expect!! People who have taken it recently, how was it? This is the first time taking these kinds of tests, so I’m extremely worried.

If you are really good at Math, I don’t think you have much to worry about. My DD did not prep at all and got an 800 on it.

Barron’s is way harder than the actual test. If you have a 780 on Barron’s, you’re almost certain to get an 800. People with 650 on Barron’s get 800 on the actual thing.

That means you took the January SAT Math II correct? The exam they gave was the same one they gave in June 2016 and I took that one and scored an 800. It was really hard for me and I was certain I failed, but the curve was so large I ended up getting a perfect score. If you got a 780 on Barron’s then you should be fine, especially since the curve is probably going to be huge.

Hmm… I took the Barron’s diagnostic test a few months after finishing Calculus BC so I thought I had forgotten most of my trig. I decided to take the diagnostic test to get an idea of my current precalc ability. I got an 847.5 on the diagnostic test according to Barron’s metrics. Does that mean the diagnostic test is really easy, or I just haven’t forgotten everything?
