What should i get my undergraduate degree in?

I want to go into a career in something in investment banking or something similar and am wondering what undergraduate degree to get. I was thinking of double majoring in accounting and finance or finance and economics with maybe a minor in statistics. I’m just looking for advice on what would work best.

You could major in anything. if there are business majors at your school those tend to be popular choices for IB, but you could also major in economics or math or statistics. You could even major in something else given the appropriate kinds of internships. And if you go to a tippy-top school it doesn’t really matter what you major in; the big IBs and related jobs recruit on the basis of your pedigree and not your major. Lots of bio pre-med, psych and political science majors going into Wall Street jobs from Harvard and Columbia.

You don’t need to double major - just pick one. Majoring in accounting, finance, or economics with a minor in statistics is an excellent choice (whichever one you pick).
