What Should I Have 'Mastered' Before Taking AP Chemistry?

Hello! The discussion title conveys most of what I wish to know (I hope this is the correct forum topic). In essence I am going to be taking AP Chemistry this upcoming year and I would like to know what I should review from general Chemistry in order to make the most of my time this Summer. Are there any concepts students particularly struggle with that I should review? Thank you in advance!

If you’ve successfully completed an initial Chemistry class (A in regular Chem, A or B in Honors) you should be fully ready.

If you got a lower grade, or struggled in some specific area, some review might be useful.

If you have time that you’re looking to spend, I’d look at the course outline and start getting familiar with upcoming topics rather than looking back.

DS took AP Chem without having a Chem course beforehand. In order to ensure he was ready he did the Khan Academy Chemistry course over the summer. He had a good teacher and wound up with an A and a 5,

Does your school have AP Chem prep material for the summer?
Ours does and perhaps you could take a look https://www.middletownk12.org/Page/5042
