<p>I have a year of experience as an administrative assistant and 3 years of both telemarketing and direct sales experience. What should I major in if I want to get into sales, public relations, or liason for the medical field?</p>
<p>I know one woman who has a very successful career in dental supply sales. She worked for a few years as a dental assistant, so she knew the terminology, etc. Then she worked a few years running her own retail/service business, so she learned sales. Most importantly, she has the right personality for traveling around talking to dentists.</p>
<p>I almost think learning medical billing or insurance would be valuable. Even learning how to be an xray tech. It depends on how high you want to go on the ladder. If you want to go into some area with management, you would need a 4 yr degree but to just get into the first level you could start with other ancillary roles.</p>
