Best Major for Healthcare Administration

Hello,

I have heard that being in healthcare administration usually requires a MHA. I am currently a junior human resource management major, but still have a small window to switch to another major being offered in the business department. All the degrees awarded are bachelors of science in business administration and then your said concentration if you have one.

The options are as follows (I do not want anything economics, so I opted to leave those out):

Accounting
General Administration
International Business
Marketing Management
Advertising and Public Relations
Finance (Certified Financial Planner Track)
Finance (Financial Management Track)
Human Resource Management
Management Information Systems

Advice?

Accounting is really good. Healthcare is all about getting reimbursed from the govt and ins companies. It’s never enough so excellent accounting is needed. Finance is good esp for a hospital setting and human resources. Healthcare requires tons of people - hard to outsource nurses and techs and docs.

Any of those plus the MHA and a couple internships should do the trick.

So I should probably stick with HRM, as I have credits in HRM classes. Those HRM classes will still count as upper division electives for other degrees so I can still make a change if I do it by the end of this semester. Thanks for the advice!
