I've always thought I should major in Poli Sci in order to go on the prelaw track, but now i've started to rethink that. I heard that you don't need a major geared towards law and in fact, most people recommend against doing so. Would business be a suitable major in order to go into law?
The major will play a large factor in what schools I apply to and where I ED.
Thanks!

anything but ‘prelaw’ and its ilk (criminal justice).

Biz is fine. Any traditional liberal arts major is fine.

Don’t ED unless you are wealthy, and can pay sticker. But even then, why not save the money for a house later?

@bluebayou as pretentious as it sounds, money has never been the problem. Anyways, college is an investment and ED will give me the highest shot possible at my dream school, so why not take that shot? If you do it right, college debts should be able to take care of themselves. But thank you for your advice!

sry, I mis-understood. I thought you were planning to ED to a Law School, but if undergrad, then that is a different situation.

There is no recommended undergrad major for pre-law. Study whatever you are interested in and think you will be able to get good grades in.

The ABA has a page about pre-law studies.
