What should I severely improve to have a guaranteed UCLA acceptance?

Well, I'll be starting senior year in a week and I'm gonna show my stats. You've prolly seen my posts before, but I really wanna know what I need to improve and/or do I even have a shot at getting into UCLA? Basically here's my info:

750- Math Level 2
700- Chemistry

So anyways, can ya tell me what I can do to be a guaranteed acceptee at UCLA? Thanks ^^

EDIT Well, maybe I could be a moron but my opinion is.. the reason I got such a low score on the SAT was because the day before, I only got 3 hrs. of sleep, no food for 12 hrs., and no caffeine haha. But then again, maybe I'm just making excuses lol.

Haha I feel you. I was out at a concert the night before my SAT and did pretty bad as well. UCLA weighs most heavily on the SAT than any other UC, so basically you're going to HAVE to bring that up to at LEAST a 2000 if you want a good shot at UCLA.

the only thing I see is taking the SAT for a better score and making your app essay the best damn piece of literature

Uh, you'll definitely want to score above a 2350 on the SAT...you may also want to commit at least 500 hours between now and applying to volunteering overseas...qualify for the International Mathematical Olympiad...eh-hem, scratch those things; I agree with ^ AllDay

But yeah, with those SAT scores, you should find it rather easy to improve to above 2000. However, you're gonna wanna start prepping now and taking many practice tests!

No one has mentioned the grades. I think all the Bs and Cs will make UCLA a big reach. Take a look at some other UCs too. What do you want to study?

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said...

Grades will be a slight issue, but you can't really do anything to change those, so you might want to focus on other things

SAT score will definitely need a big boost.

Essays will have to be pretty uhmayzing.

I might be stepping out of line saying this, but an admissions officer (also a former teacher of mine) told me 1 C really screws over your admission to any top college, including the top UCs (Berkeley and LA). LA isn't really that GREAT of a school, I would most definitely look into other UCs as well as some LACs.

bump I feel like punching the UCLA representative that came to our school since he never even discussed that getting a C could hurt us. but anyways, the real reason I want UCLA is that it is extremely close to home (a 20 min. drive maybe) and also I've always wanted to go there. Love the campus, love everything about it.

donate a library.

I'm doubtful that 1 C will really hurt you that much, but with all your B's, I agree that it is somewhat of a reach. Since UCLA already has a very large applicant pool, it is allowed to be very selective at its students, so they are just looking for reasons. I heard for the UC's especially LA and CAL, the important factors are 1. Class rank 2. GPA 3. SAT and 4. EC's. Can anyone confirm this.

If your rank is high then you will have more breathing space, but with your stats right now there is no way of "guaranteeing" your acceptance to UCLA. I don't think anyone here is saying that you will be rejected to LA because you are an instate candidate; and more importantly, UCLA is very, very peculiar in its admissions.

If I were you, I would retake the SAT reasoning, of course, and apply nonetheless. But I would also look at other UC's: UCI, UCSD, even Berkeley as they are weird in their admissions as well. Can someone confirm this, but I heard from my principal that the UC's do not weigh honor classes? Anyway, good luck with your UCLA application.

I think that although your grades are not that great, you can still try to get in by boosting how much E.C.s you have. What's your major? Try to get involved in activities that reflect what you want to major in..Also, so many people do good on their SATs now, that even if universities look at it, they want to see that you have gone beyond just the academics
