What should I start doing now to have a chance?

I'm currently a junior and i have a 3.5 i only have taken 1 ap class [ which is this year] and I never really looked in about UGA until last month but they are said to accept most people with rigorous classes and its too late for me to change my schedule this year

my ecs are FBLA, Key Club, NHS and Beta Club.
I havent taken the SAT/ACT yet

What should I start doing from now to improve my chances to get into UGA and if you think theres no way for me to really get in from what i currently have just be honest thanks

Sadly… You are not in a good spot.

Your GPA is well below average for University of Georgia. The average UGA student has taken 6 AP classes. Since you’re a junior, you only have chance to take up to 4 next year(if you can manage…given your track record with on-level courses, I wouldn’t recommend it)

You should do very well on your SATs. Compare yourself to last year’s average with the notion that UGA will get more selective in terms of admissions this year. That has been the trend

You may want to consider applying to safety schools:

thanks for the honesty! ill just aim for something lower

Definitely apply!

There isn’t anyone on this forum or elsewhere who can tell you for certain if you will be accepted or not.

UGA is very good about accepting transfer students with good grades in their college, so you might consider that if you are too late to get your rigor and GPA up. Many students will go to Georgia College or Kennesaw for a year or two and get in with no problem, but both schools are great destinations in themselves if you decide to stay.
