What should my major be?

I am completing my term at a community college in the next year and am uncertain what I should pursue next. I am torn between a biology major to pursue a degree to become a wildlife officer or some sort of park or forest service career. Also I am considering going into accounting. I live in Colorado so basically which would be a better path for the future. I did good in math all the way until calculus in high school but feel like didn't give enough effort. Or sure I just goo all out and go for engineering. Thanks for any advice.

It’s hard to say when you say you’re torn.

If you’re looking for a career in natural resources management, consider degrees in specific areas rather than just “biology” - that is, specialize in fisheries, wildlife, ecology, etc. There are also programs in forestry and outdoor recreation management that would be career-related.

If you want “in” with government land management agencies, the best way to get your foot in the door is through internships or summer field jobs.
