As I am a junior in high school, I’ve been thinking about college majors a lot. I took the ACT last fall and got a 31, but the only reason was because I got two 35s in Reading and English. I got a 28 in science and a 27 in math. These aren’t particularly bad scores, but they aren’t great either. I took the April test this past Saturday, and though i’m hoping for the best, I don’t know how much better I can do than a 27/28.
I like math. I’m not a genius and i’ve struggled with math multiple times throughout my school years. Right now I’ve got a (very) low B in ap Calc right now, but I still like math. I’ve been thinking about Engineering a lot (It’s been my dream to work for NASA since forever), but if my math and science scores say otherwise, should I bother? This goes for anything, really. I also want to double major in music performance (piano), but auditions are in fall and I don’t know if i’m cut out for it. Any advice on how to deal with such situations?
