Has anyone here read the book by Adam Robinson titled "What Smart Students Know"? The auther, Robinson, is the cofounder of the Princeton Review and the book was published around 1993.

The tips seem great, not sure if it works yet becuase I have hardly applied what I learned. However I do have some questions for anyone else who has read the book and have put it to use.

I checked it out from the library and I talked about some of those tips to a college friend. She uses the one-page note method and she says it works (for her at least). It makes a lot of sense, but I still have to get used to that.

Yeah, its alot to get used to. The book is bold in its ideas and just different. Its not like any other study guide. It doesn't assume that something is wrong with you because your reading his book, but instead, something is wrong with the school. He then goes through a process of 12 questions which you apply to your textbook and classroom lectures, and also has a section about writing, etc.

Its really good theoretically, I have to actually try it out though before I can say it works. (I'm trying it for my AP Euro class).

Anyways, if anyone has read the book, please post here and tell us if it has worked for you. I also have two questions which I am a bit confused about.
