What sort of people get an Unlikely prediction from Wellesley?

So I just got Unlikely, I’m not so sad considering W is not one of my top choices but still it makes me worried about the rest of my college decisions…

I’ve been searching through Decisions thread but not many people who got Unlikely post their stats… and those who did mainly stated the reason was probably their scores, which is not my case because mine is well in range I think - 32 ACT, 3.84 UW GPA, challenging classes and I do show my passion for learning on my app. I genuinely love people and have a pretty modest personality so I’m pretty sure my recommenders didn’t say that I was a jerk or something in their letters. I’m nice with people and have an innate disability to yell or show my anger towards anybody

So what I wonder is what could be an unfit for W that they are willing to give one a straight rejection?

Thanks for any insight!

@rotckid I think you answered this question yourself in a previous post. Although your GPA and test scores are within range for Wellesley, your essays probably did you in, especially the fact that you “didn’t show much passion for Wellesley.”

Yesterday you wrote:
“Essays: In my CA essay I talked about no specific topic but … my self. It’s a good general essay considered my philosophy teacher said it was one of the best writings he had seen in a while, but I’m not sure how good it is for college admission.
I think my Wellesley essay is where it sucks. I didn’t show much passion for Wellesley, and umm for women, but I believe I stated what I wanted to do in college and in life and I did have great passion for those.”

Good thing Wellesley is not one of your top choices – good luck to you elsewhere!
