What STATE is everybody from? Roll Call!

Thanks for that link. Unfortunately, all those events are down in the Detroit area. I guess they don’t come up further north. Too bad…our school is one of the top in the state based on standardized test scores (#3, I think). I would think there would be many students here who would qualify for the OOS tuition scholarships. I told my son yesterday that I think I know more about college options than any of his counselors. They really are not very good…I think they are understaffed and over-worked.

Cuttlefish…yes, born and raised in Michigan.

Contact the area rep and tell her about your child’s school. I’m sure that the area-reps would prefer to look for prospective students in an area with strong stats students!

I once told an area rep about a high school that has an unusually large number of NMFs. The rep wasn’t aware of the school and was glad for the info.

You can blaze a trail or follow one. Embrace the adventure and return to Michigan with tales of the New World. :)

PS Can I get a shout-out for my MSU Spartans whupping Michigan for the 4th year in a row?

Roll Tide.

wdaveo: One of my Facebook friends has a son at Alabama. They live in Grand Rapids (he is a NM student). We met online (never face-to-face) through the Parent Association’s listserv for parents of freshmen. So, you may want to contact the Parents Association and see if it can put you in touch with other residents of Michigan.

tommy: My D is from FL. She is a freshman this year and is loving it! They have better weather in T-town than here in central FL. Roll Tide!

Well it’s certainly comforting to know that many kids will be in the same boat :D

cuttlefish: don’t know if this sounds strange or not, but I’m actually excited for winters… it just gets way too hot down here!

wdaveo: we’re from Michigan. My daughter will be attending Fall 2012. UA is coming to her school (Plymouth-Canton) next week. No one signed up but she did because she wants to talk to them and show her support. UA also came down in March or April to Ann Arbor for a recruiting/info session.

Bumping for our newest posters!

:)

Florida  I will be attending Fall 2012. I can’t wait to move to T-town!

mafflerb- I’m from FL too! Where in Florida are you?

Sarasota county

Ohhh… I’m in Martin county. You probably have no idea where it is. It’s the one south of St. Lucie and it’s about 45 minutes from West Palm.

What made you want to go to Bama?
