What STATE is everybody from? Roll Call!

We are from Northern California- Sacramento Area. UA wasn’t on the radar until we went to a presentation in October by Bama recruiters here in Sacramento. DS & DH attended Capstone Scholars Day in January and the decision was made then! DH wants to attend UA! DS was accepted to Purdue but now is excited about Bama.

Yea ILLINOIS!!!

*DH wants to attend UA! *

So do we! My H and I have said the same thing many times!

My kids swear I act like I’m the student at UA not DS (who BTW loves it there too just not as expressive). I’m constantly embarrassing my youngest DD by RT’ing anyone/everyone with BAMA paraphenalia. Not too common in OC, CA but seeing more and more:). Not to mention scheduling all else around seeing the games on TV :frowning: - someday live :).

Bumping for newcomers!

:)

Hey there! I’m orginally from Southern California, but we’ve lived in Tuscaloosa for the past 12 years. I can’t tell you how much I’ve benefitted from being so close to campus nor can I tell you how many times I’ve been caught at the Cold Stone on campus. I’ve gotten the chance to meet with several staff members at the UA and every single one of them boast the same sense of hospitialty. Just through the events held this year I’ve already formed several bonds with future students and I can’t wait for this upcoming fall!

^^^Ahhh…from my home state!!!

What moved you to T-town?

We had some family members down here and my parents wanted us to have a quieter lifestyle. Yeah, us kids don’t always agree with their decesion, haha. We still get the chance to spend our summers back in Orange County and we’ll forever be Californians! We used to live right outside Anahiem so Disneyland was our second home. :D

^^^Me, too! :)

I first lived in Anaheim for my first 8 years, then we moved to Placentia. After I married, we moved to Anaheim Hills. We moved to Alabama several years ago.

But, now I favor WDW! lol

It’s crazy where people end up! We actually have a neighbor here in Tuscaloosa from California and it wasn’t until we had a conversation with him that we realized we used to be neighbors back in Anaheim. We still can’t believe it!

And we’ve only gotten over to WDW twice, but those have probably been the two fastest weeks of my life. It’s all a blur of entertaining time and I can’t wait until we go back. I may even have to put off a semester at Bama to be a part of the Disney College Program, haha.

D from Chicago, Illinois. Looking forward to our Bama visit next week for Fellows finalists!

We’ve lived in Louisiana all our lives…both DH and I are from New Orleans metro area and went to UL-Lafayette. DS is there now. DD wants out of state.

We have lots of red clothes for UL…will come in handy if she gets accepted in musical theatre at UA. We’re visiting campus during Mardi Gras week in two weeks!

Been a long-time lurker on the UA board since knowing D wanted OOS. Love the merit scholarships UA offers…hoping DD gets ACT score to 32 so she can get full tuition. (She has a 30, taking it again Sat and will keep retaking until she gets it!) Would make it comparable to what we’re paying for DS at UL!!

And praying UA keeps the scholarships the same for next admissions cycle. DD is a current junior!

^^^

Welcome!!

Tip…also have your D take the SAT…sometimes it’s easier to get the 1400 M+CR…especially if the Science Reasoning score on the ACT is low.

Just moved to Georga from mid west.

Bumping for new visitors.

welcome!

:)

Bumping for new visitors.

From Kansas! Looking forward to seeing the campus and town in a couple of weeks!

New York, New York! So nice, you gotta say it twice

^ Finally another NYer! Been a while since the last one on this thread. We’re from LI.

We are not “new”, son is in his second year but we are also New Yorkers! We love, love UA!!!

Roll Tide…
