For me, it’s definitely history and biology. I have the hardest time memorizing just plain facts. It doesn’t make sense to me at all. I’m better at working and figuring things out, not memorizing. Also, I need pictures and hands on activities to get stuff. Biology and history don’t have that.
I have a strong dislike for English and history. I love reading and thinking about literature, but I hate being forced to answer questions every other paragraph.
My friend is in a special English class for the kids that are too smart for honors English. I wish I was in there… unfortunately, it’s first period and I have an elective then that can’t be moved.
I honestly really enjoy all of my classes in their own way, but sometimes I hate Spanish. I am in my class with a bunch of native speakers, and all they can tell me is that my sentences “sound wrong” without giving me a solid grammatical reason. I sometimes just feel like I’ll never really get it because I can’t “feel it”!
I find math traumatizing. I’m pretty sure stressing over my Algebra II final took years off of my life.
I also don’t like science. I guess I’m not a hands on learner, since I hate doing labs.
I honestly hated English with a burning passion. Which is surprising because I’m on the debate team and was best friends with the teacher, but when I was the only one to get 100% on the essays was canceled out with me not being able to remember which character was born in march getting me a B in the class. I can live with a B but I worked very hard in that class.
I disliked English because there was too much reading and answering questions. I like reading literature and all and am okay with grammar, but I really hate reading uninteresting passages and answering questions about every little detail.
@noplayallwork I really hate doing a standardized tests because of that reason. Also, when there’s something interesting, they don’t give you a source. Nice.
I haaate math. At the end of last year, I left my geometry regents bawling because I couldn’t figure out 2 important 6 point questions. Turns out I got an 83, which was better than my Alg1 regents the year before. So obviously I’m not horrible at math, but it stresses me out so much.
I love all of my subjects, but if I had one that I had to say was my least favorite, I think it would be Biology. This is because although I am this person who loves studying the environment, the meaning of life, and love thinking deep thoughts, I prefer other science courses.
Even though I consider English to be one of my best subject in aptitude, I loathe it. This is due to the superficial questions which lack sagacity that my teacher asks.
I thought about this for a while, and the main thing I’ve realized is that my high school education involved way more coloring than it should have. I probably shouldn’t blame the subjects.
I hate math with a burning passion lol…the way that problems are set up can frustrate me sometimes. It also bothers me that some parts of math include multiple steps and is time consuming.
Academically, for me it depends on what we are doing. But truthfully speaking it is Spanish. I feel like all we do is do the same vocabulary. I am not a fan of my teacher this year or the kids in my class, I think Spanish is just challenging and its not for me (ugh too late to drop). 8-X
I loathe math. It is literally my worst subject by far, despite the fact that I’m in the highest track that my school offers. (That doesn’t mean anything at my school though) Numbers just confuse me, and I have a natural aversion to repetitive problems.
History and English are by far my favorite.
This is coming from someone that’s planning to double major in STEM and history btw
@LordBendtner Because all 1st world coutries speak 2 lnguages. Whule ignorant Americans only speak one because they think that the world rotates around America.
none really, but the least interesting subject to me was us history. unfortunately, because i know it’s important!! i just never really got into it until the progressive era and ~1950s-1960s because that’s when social change and such began accelerating.
i don’t know - when it’s about history, us just never clicked with me, but world was amazing and i’m kind of liking gov right now. maybe i was just annoyed by american exceptionalism lol
