Hey guys,
So I’m taking the September ACT (my 5th and final yayy) but I’m concerned if the scores will get reported to schools in time. Some of the colleges have a deadline of October 15, others are around November 1. Anyways, should I directly send the scores to the school without first seeing them? (I’m hoping this will be my best score…) Or should I wait, then send them out after I’ve gotten the results back? How long does that typically take? I was thinking about sending one of my others just to be safe, then waiting and sending September’s after I get them. What do you guys think?
i really think you should wait to see the scores before you send them- just in case it goes badly on test day.
Do the schools you are applying to state any specific policy about sending scores before the deadline? For example, some schools require that you send the scores before the test (i.e. without you seeing them first) if you take the test right before the deadline.
If you are really worried and don’t care about the cost of sending score reports, I would send your best score as of now for the schools with early deadlines and then send the new scores before you see them. Almost every college only considers the highest test score you have and this you make sure your application is completed on time.
I agree with @sophie9999, I applied to a school EA in December and sent them my October SAT scores, then retook it in Jan and improved so I sent them again
