You're going to self-study 7 AP's as a sophomore? Why? You might want to reduce that number to like 3~4, unless you're pretty confident that you are willing to get decent scores and pass the tests for all that money.</p>
<p>6--but they were relatively easy and didn't require much studying. Macroeconomics (my teacher was freaking amazing), Government & Comparative Government (i'm a big political mind), Statistics (this one I had to study hard for), European History (again, good teacher, didn't need to study to feel prepared), English Literature (winged it)</p>
<p>Honestly I'm starting to think some of us get too obsessed with AP exams. Most good schools i've seen limit the amount of credit you can receive from testing. and it doesn't seem like AP exams carry amazing weight in admissions. so really, it doesn't seem to make too much sense to take a massive load of AP's. isn't there something you're interested in, say for example philosophy, that you might want to self study some instead of an AP area to take the test? that's something you could possibly write an app essay about.</p>
<p>anyway.. i took 5 this year. total of six going into senior year.</p>
