I just got my AP Scholar with Honor certificate in the mail today.
I'm supposed to be an AP Scholar with Distinction!!!
Junior Year
AP Microeconomics: 3
AP English Literature: 3
AP Psych: 5
AP USH: 5

Sophomore year:
AP World History: 3
AP English Literature: 2 (retook Junior year)

I'm supposed to be a scholar with distinction!!! What's going on ahhhhhh

my junior year retake was a 3.
3+3+3+5+5+2=21
21/6=3.5

But they only consider the highest out of the retakes, so it should be:
3+3+3+5+5=19
19/5=3.8
Either way, I should have gotten distinction!!! ahh what’s going on :(

no it doesn’t-you have to have an AVERAGE of 3.5. It doesn’t say anywhere a 2 disqualifies you from AP Awards. Plus how did I get the Scholar with Honor if I was disqualified? ahhhhhh i already put Distinction on my resume and sent it in :(

No one cares if you put Distinction or Honor. It’s really small and doesn’t make a difference. It’s not something they’ll check up on. It’s like trying to check up on if you really went to CTY or if you really volunteer at a library. Tons of people do this/have this. If, for an odd reason, the person you sent your resume to asks you about it, explain to them that CB made an error and just show a document of your scores.

Ok so I called college board and they said data are hard to put together from different years because people don’t give consistent personal information, so they will merge data from years prior and now to determine scholar eligibility. :)
