I am open to take applied Math or applied Physics in Yale. Please guide me here.
Thanks

Full scholarship to a top engineering school is tough to beat.

If unsure about engineering and you can afford and like Yale it may be an opportunity worth considering.

Congratulations on your success! Those are two fantastic offers. If Yale truly is full price with no financial need, I would definitely go to Georgia Tech. You are receiving a much higher ranked engineering education and saving hundreds of thousands of dollars. I know the Yale name is hard to pass up, and if your heart is at Yale, then go for it! But in this case I believe you would be much better suited to accept the offer from Georgia Tech. Best of luck!

In the engineering world, Yale means little and probably LESS than Georgia Tech. Engineers know Yale is not one of the best places to study engineering. There’s really no reason to give up the full-ride at Georgia Tech for Yale.

@ChaChaanTeng is right don’t pass GT up although you got into Yale. You can at least frame your acceptance letter from Yale to make you feel better.

Of course it depends on your family’s finances, but unless money is really no object, got to GTech. (I’m a huge Yale fan, but man, that’s a lot of bread!)

Many people would die for a full ride to Georgia tech. Plus, if it’s better for engineering (which it is) then there’s nothing to debate. Congrats on getting into Yale, but don’t choose the school based on it’s name.

Georgia Tech is the obvious choice if you want to work in engineering.

Yale might only make sense if your family is very wealthy and willing to pay, and your goal is to work in investment banking or management consulting.

Georgia Tech is an obvious choice for engineering.

Another vote for Georgia Tech.

Thank you so much for all your advices. It will really help me to gear towards my decision. Though I am still trying to negotiate with Yale admission. Wish me good luck. :-*

Love Yale. Yale engineering much less so. Ivy’s may be over hyped but Ivy engineering is crazy over hyped. GT is an across the board significantly better place to pursue engineering. Factor in a full ride and count your lucky stars.
