Hey! I have recently been accepted into both COSMOS at UC Davis and Stanford EPGY on the same topic: biotechnology 2E. I was wondering if you guys could give me a comparison to help me decide which one to take. Thank you!

Personally, I’d choose COSMOS because UCD Biotechnology cluster is one of the most competitive clusters at COSMOS. EGPY is much more expensive, and I’ve heard that as long as you have the money and decent stats, you’ll be accepted.

Whichever one you choose, congrats on being accepted to both!

Sort of, not quite. Most paid summer programs are like this, but EPGY is a bit better than ones like Brown’s or Columbia’s pre-college “experiences”. At the very least, an acquaintance who attended EPGY last year reported the other participants to be intelligent and not those from wealthy families looking to party their way through the summer.

I agree, however, that COSMOS is definitely the way to go. It’s a more intense educational experience.

Thank you both for your responses. I have submitted an acceptance to COSMOS last Sunday. :)
