What to do about the English section?

I fear it. I don't understand grammar or its usage, I don't know exactly what a 'past participle' means, I'm that kid who can do well on Math/Science and even Reading..

but grammar and all those rules, ack there has to be a better way the raw memorization (I bought a grammar book and there are like 245452 rules)

Same here I get all A's but barely got a B in advanced grammar.

I would definitely pick up the Real ACT Guide and Princeton's prep book to help you with the grammar. They don't test on all 2454652 rules of grammar, and if you look through those prep books, you'll be able to pinpoint which specific rules of grammar ALWAYS come up.

I'm not joking when I say this - read anything you can get your hands on. After a while, you just pick up on grammar and punctuation mistakes. I thought reading the grammar stuff in the books was pretty tedious... But I will say that princeton review had a good english section overview.

Kimu08, I agree completelyl. I also recommend the Barrons book after you have reviewed the PR book.

Just go with what sounds right on the test.
