What To Do After AP Computer Science A

Hello

I am a freshman in high school and taking ap computer science a. I am really enjoying it, but I wonder what I will take in computer science in the rest of my years in high school, as ap computer science ab no longer exists

Ideas on what classes to take after ap computer science?

Thanks.

CS courses at a local college perhaps.

However, lower level CS courses are not that standardized, so you may not necessarily get transfer credit if you later matriculate to a different college.

You can also self-study (not for credit) CS courses whose course materials are available on the public web.

Our school offers an honor level class called “Mobile App Development” (same honors weighting as the APs), then an independent study in which the student can propose a curriculum or take a DE class. AP CSA isn’t offered to freshmen at our school. This is going to vary by school, so check your course catalog or with your guidance counselor.

Perhaps you can start participating in the USACO contests or try to solve problems on Project Euler or kattis?
