I am a rising senior from CA, and I have an internship in NYC this summer that starts in a week. During the school year, I am so busy that I never get a chance to let loose and hang out with people, etc. So I am planning out free time to meet new people and do fun stuff in NY. What are some good things to do for fun?

I am open to very diverse suggestions. I guess I am looking for an adventure. I know I need to be realistic as well (I can't change my whole persona), but I would like to have a fun summer and do different things.

P.S. I already have the basics, like Central Park, Times Square, Broadway shows, etc.

Well, I just thought I would update this thread in case anyone searched up this topic later on. I ended up doing the following things:
-Central Park
-Times Square
-Union Square
-Broadway musical
-museum
-Brooklyn Bridge Park movie - amazing venue!
-a lot of walking
-etc.

Go at night to the Empire State Building and get to 86th floor Observation Deck, the most beautiful view of the city.

Madame Tussauds in Times Square

Astoria Park breath taking view at sunset of the JFK Bridge and the water, great for photos.

South Sea Seaport, there’s a lot of concerts by Indie and popular bands and artist, great places to eat, and you can take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty.

Bronx Zoo

The Unisphere in Queens, great for taking photos and to chill

IF you have money, go to 5th av and Madison in The Upper East Side, and go to designer boutiques like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi and go to Saks and 5th, and Bergdorf Goodman. Depending on the day and time, you can get s good deal at the boutiques.

There’s so much more I can add, but I will be here all day. But, this is where I go when my family come and visit and I want to give them a light tour of the city.

Didn’t realize how late I was, oh well if you get a chance to come back try those things.
